Tony P's Dockside Grill ($10-$15) located in Marina Del Rey offers not only an exquisite view of the marina but an exquisite menu. It ranges from filling appetizers  to pasta, sandwiches, a grill and a large drink menu.  I had the Southwest Chicken Platter which consisted of charbroiled chicken breast topped with sauteed peppers, tomatoes, corn and cactus along side a very generous portion of rice. It was DELICIOUS and filling. It is certainly enough for two! The complementary breadsticks were also quite good except for the excessive oil drizzled on them. The service was great: we were seated right away, greeted my our server almost immediately and he was very hospitable and accommodating.

I originally heard about Pink's Hot Dogs while watching Hot Dog Paradise on the Travel Channel. Pink's has been around the Los Angeles area for over 70 years and is famous for their beyond gigantic hot dogs, many of which are named after famous celebrities. The list includes Rosie O'Donnell, the Flamin' Ozzy, the Today Show dog, and the Shrek dog, to name a few.

When we arrived at Pinks the line outside was massive but it moved fairly quickly and we were able to order our food within an hour. I was surprised by how affordable the menu items were ranging from $3-$7 including tax. (Word to the wise, if you plan on going to Pink's plan on bringing cash because they don't accept anything else.)

After many decision changes and an hour of deliberation, it was the Martha Stewart Dog (pictured above) that won me and my cholesterol over! At a whopping 10 inches, the hot dog was topped off with mustard, relish, onions, tomatoes, bacon, sauerkraut and a dollop of sour cream. This is definitely not a hot dog that you can eat with your hands so a fork and a knife are a MUST. While the hot dogs are very filling, find a friend and split some fries because they are to die for!

I've heard a lot about The Coffee Bean but have always been hesitant because I didn't want to sell out the true love of my life: Starbucks. But this weekend I was weak and gave into temptation. The Coffee Bean is literally on every corner and I couldn't resist. I ordered my usual nonfat sugar free vanilla latte which I am very particular about because it is so hit or miss most of the time. However this was definitely a hit! It tasted amazing and was better than anything I've ever had anywhere else and I mean anywhere! It was sweet yet sugar free and tasted like a regular coffee with fat and sugar. I think I'll be back! Na-no I WILL be back :)

Alejo's Italian Restaurant has a variety of different locations the Los Angeles area and for good reason! While I cannot attest to the ambiance of the restaurant or to the service since I ordered take-out, I can tell you that that the food is delicious! Every meal come with the most delicious bread with an olive oil and garlic mixture. While the dipping sauce is amazing, you must and I mean MUST prepare yourself to avoid any close contact with other human beings because the garlic is STRONG!! For my entree,  I had a Chopped Italian Salad with lettuce, tomatoes, salami, mozzarella, garbanzo beans and the additional grilled chicken that I specifically asked for. The salad comes with a creamy (wannabe) ceaser dressing and light with a slight lemon zest. While the dressing is a great addition to the salad, it is not necessary. I cannot explain why but the salad seems to already have light dressing on it even though I was told it did not. It might just be the mixture of "juices" from the ingredients, but either way it is delectable. Alejo's is a must if you are in the mood for a delicious Italian delight!
